MEES Regulations:
EPC Rating E or Above
Since April 2023, it is unlawful to let a property in England and Wales with an EPC rating below E. Properties with F or G ratings cannot be legally rented. We can assess your property and recommend the most cost-effective measures to bring your EPC up to the required standard.
Landlord FAQs
How often does a rental property need an EICR?
Since July 2020, landlords in England are legally required to have an EICR carried out every 5 years, or at the start of a new tenancy. The report must be provided to tenants within 28 days.
Can you improve my property's EPC rating?
Yes. We offer insulation, heat pump installations, solar PV, and other retrofit measures that directly improve your Energy Performance Certificate rating — helping you meet MEES requirements.
